01

What makes Zebra Robotics different from other STEM education franchises?

Zebra Robotics offers a comprehensive STEM learning journey centered around robotics, engineering, programming, artificial intelligence, and design. Students can begin as early as age 6 and continue progressing through increasingly advanced programs into high school, creating exceptional long-term student retention. Our proprietary curriculum, international competitions, and project-based learning help students build real-world skills while creating a recurring membership model for franchisees.
02

Do I need a technical or engineering background to own a Zebra Robotics franchise?

No. Many of our successful franchisees come from business, education, healthcare, finance, and other professional backgrounds. We provide comprehensive training, curriculum, operating systems, and ongoing support so you can focus on building relationships in your community while your coaches deliver the educational experience.
03

What ages do your programs serve?

Zebra Robotics offers programs for students from approximately 6 to 18 years of age. Our structured learning pathway allows students to advance from foundational robotics and coding through engineering, AI, competitive robotics, and software development, giving families reasons to stay with Zebra Robotics for many years.
01

What qualities do successful Zebra Robotics franchisees have? Is this business owner-operated or manager-operated?

Our most successful franchisees are passionate about education, community involvement, and building strong teams. While many owners choose to be actively involved during the early stages of their business, Zebra Robotics is designed to evolve into a manager-operated model, allowing opportunities for multi-unit ownership as your team grows.
02

How much does it cost to open a Zebra Robotics franchise?

The total investment varies based on factors such as your market, facility size, and build-out requirements. In most cases, the estimated investment to open a Zebra Robotics innovation lab, including initial working capital, ranges from $250,000 to $350,000. During our discovery process, we'll review the investment in detail, discuss the factors that influence startup costs, and provide comprehensive information through our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) so you have a clear understanding of the opportunity.
03

Can I own more than one Zebra Robotics location?

Absolutely. Many franchisees choose to secure multiple territories from the outset through a multi-unit development agreement, allowing them to protect their preferred market while opening innovation labs according to an agreed-upon development schedule. Others prefer to establish their first location and then expand into additional territories as their business grows. Our systems, curriculum, and operational support are designed to support both single-unit and multi-unit ownership, making it easy to scale your business over time.
04

What territories are currently available?

Zebra Robotics is actively expanding across North America, with current priority markets including Dallas, Austin, Denver, Atlanta, Charlotte, Tampa, Orlando, and Calgary, as well as continued growth throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Greater Vancouver, and the Research Triangle (Raleigh–Durham–Chapel Hill) region. Territory availability changes regularly as new franchise agreements are signed. If you're interested in a particular city or region, we encourage you to contact our franchise development team to discuss current availability and explore opportunities in your preferred market.
05

Why is now a good time to invest in STEM education?

Demand for STEM education continues to grow as parents, schools, and communities place greater emphasis on preparing students for a technology-driven future. Robotics, coding, engineering, and AI programs help students develop not only technical skills, but also critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving. At the same time, technology hubs across North America continue to expand, driving greater interest in high-quality STEM enrichment programs outside the classroom. With more than a decade of experience, 70+ hands-on programs, over 50,000 students served, and a proven franchise model, Zebra Robotics offers entrepreneurs the opportunity to build a business that is aligned with both long-term educational demand and industry growth.
01

What training and support do franchisees receive?

From site selection to grand opening and beyond, we provide comprehensive support every step of the way. Franchisees receive training on operations, curriculum, staffing, sales, marketing, and technology systems, along with guidance during the innovation lab build-out and opening process. After launch, our team continues to provide ongoing coaching, business reviews, curriculum updates, and operational support to help you build and grow a successful innovation lab. Franchisees also become part of a collaborative network where owners regularly share ideas, best practices, and successes.
02

Will Zebra Robotics help me select a location and hire staff?

Yes. We assist franchisees throughout the site selection process, including demographic analysis, territory planning, and facility recommendations. We also provide hiring guidance, onboarding resources, and coach training to help you build a strong local team. From lease signing through opening day, our team works closely with you to help ensure a successful launch.
03

What marketing support is provided?

Franchisees receive professionally developed marketing materials, digital assets, campaign guidance, and ongoing marketing support designed to generate awareness and student enrollments. We also provide resources to help franchisees build relationships with schools, community organizations, and local businesses, creating multiple channels for student recruitment. In addition, franchisees benefit from national brand marketing, proven enrollment strategies, and best practices developed across our growing network.
01

What revenue opportunities exist beyond weekly classes?

In addition to year-round classes, Zebra Robotics innovation labs can generate revenue through summer camps, school partnerships, workshops, competitions, and seasonal programs. These complementary offerings help maximize facility utilization throughout the year while providing families with multiple ways to engage with Zebra Robotics beyond their weekly classes.
02

How does Zebra Robotics keep students enrolled year after year?

Our structured learning pathway allows students to progress from beginner robotics and coding through advanced engineering, artificial intelligence, software development, and competitive robotics. Along the way, students are continually challenged with new technologies, hands-on projects, and opportunities to participate in STRIPE and other competitive robotics and coding experiences, creating a rewarding learning journey that can span nearly a decade.
03

How long does it typically take to open an innovation lab after signing?

The timeline varies depending on factors such as real estate selection, lease negotiations, permitting, and build-out. Throughout the process, our team works closely with you, from site selection through grand opening to help keep your project on track and support a successful launch.
01

What are the next steps to becoming a Zebra Robotics franchisee?

The journey begins with an introductory conversation where we'll learn about your goals, answer your questions, and discuss whether Zebra Robotics is a good fit for you. From there, we'll guide you through our discovery process, provide our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD), and introduce you to our team, business model, and support systems. As you move through the process, you'll also have the opportunity to participate in validation calls with existing Zebra Robotics franchise owners to hear firsthand about their experiences, ask questions, and gain insights into owning and operating a Zebra Robotics innovation lab. Our goal is to ensure you have the information and confidence to make an informed decision.
