Toronto Danforth policies, in plain terms.

The registration, payment, cancellation and safety terms that apply to classes and camps at Zebra Robotics Toronto Danforth. These are set by this lab and differ by location — the same terms you accept at checkout.

Registration

There is no registration fee for new enrollments, and there is no predefined commitment. Students can be withdrawn from a program at any time with a month's notice.

Communication

We send emails to parents/guardians to provide communications on student progress, class updates, programs, events, and news at Zebra Robotics.

Emergency Medical Release

In the event of injury or severe illness, I permit the Zebra Robotics staff to obtain medical treatment for my child. I understand that if my child needs to be transported to an emergency facility, that decision will be made by the emergency team responding to the call.

Photographic Release

I grant permission to Zebra Robotics the right to use photographs and videos of my child in any publications and media for the limited purpose of school news updates, publicity, and advertising for Zebra Robotics.

Recurring Payment Policy for Regular Classes

We accept credit card payments and Interac e-transfers. If paying by credit card, the monthly fee will be charged to your credit card on the first day of each month. Payment can be stopped or paused with one-month advance notice. If paying by Interac e-transfers, please remit payment within the first week of each month. There will be a $25 late payment charge if not paid by the 15th of the month.

The fee is non-refundable once processed. In case of a change in payment info, please inform us 7-10 days before the payment is processed. Fees might be adjusted in case of course change or type of class. We do not prorate, credit, or refund fees for missed classes.

The fee, based on 4 classes per month, remains the same each month based on the course your child is in. The fee will not be prorated for shorter months (e.g. 3 classes/month) as it will get compensated in months with extra weeks (e.g. 5 classes/month).

Withdrawal Policy

We understand plans change and that you may need to cancel a program. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

Regular Classes: You can withdraw your child any time with one month's notice. Withdrawal must be made through email.

Camps: Up to 3 weeks before the program's start date, the full fee minus $50 (admin fee) will be refunded. No refunds will be issued if cancelled within three weeks of the camp.

Missed Class / Make-Up Policy

While we strongly encourage students to attend classes regularly, we also understand that missing a class can happen occasionally due to illness, conflicts, or unplanned situations.

Where possible, notifying us in advance about an absence helps our team to plan better.

Regular Classes: Please contact us to schedule a make-up class before the day of the class. Drop-ins are not permitted. We offer two make-up classes per quarter. No make-up session will be provided for missed make-up classes. If you are going on a vacation or taking a break during the year, we need two weeks' advance notice by sending us an email.

Camps: Unfortunately, we cannot offer make-up sessions for camps.

Extreme Weather or Unexpected Interruption of Classes

For weather related closures or delays, please check your email or we will call you. A make-up session will be offered if we cancel a class due to extreme weather or events beyond our control, such as power outages. No refunds for lessons missed due to these reasons will be given.
