Block-Based Coding (C300)

Games are excellent educational programming tools. Students explore programming concepts using graphical coding to animate and build games. Concepts like loops, scenes and stages, keyboard controls, events, and messaging are taught in this course.

Students delve deeper into game design by developing classic games such as Brick Breaker, Angry Birds and more. They’ll employ block-based, graphical coding and gain a strong foundation, in preparation for text-based coding languages.

Web Design (C600)

Students are introduced to text-based programming through HTML5 and CSS3. They’ll build web pages from scratch instead of using drag and drop templates, enabling them to make vital connections between text-based commands and visualizing the results.

Interactive Web Applications (C700)

Students are introduced to Javascript, a widely used scripting language, allowing them to take webpages and applications to the next level. They’ll create animated and interactive elements, building on the foundation established in Web Design. C600 is a prerequisite for this course.

Coding with Python (C800)

Students learn a powerful server-based programming language. Robotics

Robotics encompasses the design, construction, operation and use of robots, as well as, computer systems for their control, sensory feedback and information processing. Our courses cover all aspects of robotics: from theory, to building out designs, to programming and controlling robots.

Machines and Mechanisms (R200)

Students build, design, and investigate simple and compound machines such as levers, pulleys, and axles. In later levels, they learn about mechanisms and structures. At the final level, students are introduced to basic programming concepts using graphical, block-based interfaces.

Moving Models (R300)

Students design, build, and program stationary and moving robotic models. They learn STEM concepts, including speed, structural stability and metamorphosis to create and program interactive models that use motors, sensors and block-based programming interfaces.

Intro to Robot Navigation (R400)

Students learn design and programming concepts using LEGO EV3 Mindstorms robots. They build robots and mechanical attachments from scratch and program controls though block-based programming. After this course, students may be eligible to join our competition teams.

Enhanced Robotic Functions (R500)

Intro to Robotic Navigation is a prerequisite for this complex, competition-oriented class. This course teaches advanced mechanical and robotics programming constructs like directional transformation, proportional error correction, and storing and retrieving data.

Text-Based Robotics (R600)

Students will work with Robot-C, a text-based programming language. They will become familiar with powerful and efficient commands to write complex and concise programs with which they can control their robots.

Robust Robotics (R700)

Students graduate to the next level with metal robots. They engineer custom attachments, solve problems methodically and program robots using Robot-C/C++ text languages providing them with intelligence through various electronic components.

Early Electronics (R800)

Students are introduced to electronic components using Arduino micro controllers to build projects. They will gain a strong understanding of electricity, physics, and circuits. They are introduced to programming languages like Arduino C++ for electronic controls using simple IDE and commands.

Robotic Systems (R900)

Students will design basic circuits, use various electronic tools and practices, and use Raspberry-Pi to cement their understanding. They will use Python to program and build robots from scratch, and complete the course with an in-depth understanding of robotics concepts.
